What if this so-called “Strategic Optimism” is not a strategy at all, but a trap?

Strategic Optimism is the belief that expecting the best outcomes will lead to better performance and, ultimately, success. It’s the idea that our thoughts can shape our reality, that by merely expecting success, we can somehow will it into existence. On the surface, it sounds empowering, doesn’t it? The notion that we have control over our destiny is seductive, offering a sense of agency in a world that often feels uncontrollable. But herein lies the trap: the assumption that optimism alone is a sufficient strategy for success.
